    Indications:

    • Puppies of medium breeds, from weaning (4 weeks of age) until 1 year old.
    • Pregnant and lactating bitches.

     

     

    Not Recommended For:

    • Puppies of large breeds (over 25 kg when adult).

     

    Additional Info:

    • During the last half of lactation, puppies can be weaned on to the same VetEssentials Puppy Medium food that is being fed to the bitch, which simplifies the weaning process.
    • The VetEssentials Puppy Medium formula is enriched with a high level of DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), an essential structural component of the brain which occurs naturally in mothers’ milk. Feeding VetEssentials Puppy Medium to pregnant and lactating bitches provides puppies with high levels of DHA before weaning. When also fed to puppies after weaning, additional DHA is supplied throughout the critical formation and development of brain and eyes.
    • VetEssentials Puppy Medium may be fed in combination with any canned formula of Science PlanTM Puppy.

    These amounts are a starting point only because animals’ needs vary.  Adjust the feeding amount to maintain optimal body weight.

    PUPPIES

    VetEssentials Puppy Medium formula should be fed from weaning until maturity at 1 year old. The daily amount required by individual puppies may vary substantially. Therefore the amount should be adjusted to maintain optimal body weight and fed as 2-4 meals per day (the number may decrease with age.)

    PREGNANCY

    The amount of VetEssentials Puppy Medium formula to feed to pregnant bitches depends upon the stage of pregnancy. Often pregnancy is not recognised until the 4th or 5th week

    LACTATION

    Lactating bitches should be fed unrestricted amounts of VetEssentials Puppy Medium (i.e. fed ad libitum) until weaning is completed.
